The RM 035 is the line at its most single-minded: extreme lightness as the entire design objective, in a TPT composite case. TPT — thin plies of carbon or quartz laid at alternating angles and cured under pressure — is a material borrowed from motorsport and sailing, and its marbled surface is a by-product of the layering rather than a decorative finish, so no two cases look identical. What matters on examination: TPT cannot be polished — the pattern is the material's structure, so any refinishing removes layers and changes the surface permanently; case screws; the strap and its fixing points, which take the load on a watch this light; and crown function.
