Automatic, in the tonneau architecture, with a function selector at the crown: a pusher that cycles winding, neutral and hand-setting rather than the crown positions a conventional watch uses. What matters on examination: that the function selector cycles and holds in each position, which is the reference's most distinctive and most service-sensitive element; the junctions between the four materials, where a seal failure would show first; ceramic for chips, which cannot be repaired; and case screws.
