Richard Mille RM 66

A flying tourbillon — one supported from beneath only, with no upper bridge, so the cage appears to float — executed as sculpture rather than as a display of regulation. The flying construction is the harder version: without the upper bridge, the cage's stability depends entirely on the lower pivot and its bearing. What matters on examination: that the tourbillon cage runs true and the seconds hand on it is properly aligned, since a flying cage shows any wobble immediately; the case and its screws; and a service history from Richard Mille, because a tourbillon of this construction is not a general watchmaker's work. Confirmed through the desk. Maker: Richard Mille. Available through ELITA's private desk — verification review, discreet handling and storage. Price on request.
